Pilates is a mind-body intervention incorporating breath patterns that focus on building core strength, balance,  hip and pelvis stability.  You will  increase your flexibility and improve your muscle control.  This will result in a better posture making you feel longer and leaner.

Strengthen and Tone

Pilates is excellent for strengthening and toning as well as increasing flexibility. There is no heavy weight involved only resistance training using your own body or small props such as therabands. With less of a chance for injury.

Relax your Body

Pilates focuses on trying to relax muscles which are tense while providing strengthening of the numerous muscles of the body.   Connecting your mind to your movement and your breath to your mind.

What kind of Pilates!

Mat Classes

The benefits of a Pilates mat class is to strengthen the body's "powerhouse" a term that refers to your abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, glutes and hips.  Teaching you how to control your muscles a mat class can be one of the most challenging classes you take.

Spring Board

The springboard provides an invigorating full-body workout with springs that are adjusted to suit everyone.   Its excellent for imbalances and stabilization of the body.  You will love the challenge and the fun of working with resistance training in a new way!

REFORMER

Pilates on the reformer helps you target smaller and larger muscle groups using resistance with a carriage that moves back and forth adding more of a challenge or control to build core strength. Working with resistance but having the the stability of the carriage gives you  the feeling you are in control with each movement.
